Settlement Services support newcomer immigrants and refugees with the process of settling into their new communities. Settlement Workers can provide in-depth information about and referral to health care, housing, childcare subsidy, legal and other Canadian systems. Settlement workers also assist newcomers to link to English language classes, employment services and community services. NSMS also offers a range of programs to assist families to integrate into Canadian life; these include programs for seniors, parents, youth and children. NSMS also offers information sessions on settlement related topics. Services are confidential, professional and friendly. Services are available in English, Farsi, Cantonese, Mandarin, Korean and Filipino.
